Google Admin Support
Is your Google domain secure and configured for optimal use by staff and students?
Many schools have configured their Google admin policies over many years, little by little. This can result in a patchwork of policies and configures that are (kinda) working, but filled with inefficiencies and inconsistencies.
If you inherited your Google admin console, you’re likely dealing with a confusing mess that’s hard to manage. Are you confident your users and data are safe from attackers and accidental mistakes? Actions by staff or students could expose you to risk.
If any of these situations sound familiar, it might be time for a Google Admin Audit!
It’s time for a Google Admin Audit
The Google Admin Audit is a comprehensive review of your entire Google Workspace environment to make sure that your data and users are safe and your policies are optimized for teaching and learning.
The audit process will give you peace of mind AND help you sharpen your ability to manage and maintain your system by teaching you best practices for managing and configuring users and devices.
During the audit I review over 600 configuration settings in the Google Admin Console to ensure that your users, services, and devices are optimized for security, usability, and scalability.
Key areas of review:
- Organizational unit structure: Streamlined management for long-term management.
- Security settings: Two-factor authentication, strong passwords, and appropriate admin roles.
- Application settings: Optimized Gmail, Drive, Classroom, Vault and more.
- Device user & browser settings: Best practices for your 1:1 Chromebook program.
- Data and usage reports: Actionable insights to guide decision-making.

The Audit Process
An admin audit can be scheduled at any time of the year and has no impact on the ongoing use of your systems and services.
Step 1: Kick of call – during this initial virtual session I will meet with you and anyone who helps manage your Google Admin console. You can share any concerns or challenges you are having and I will ask a few general questions about your domain, related systems, and technology use in your district.
Step 2: Console review – I will carefully review the structure and setup of your admin console while taking care not to change any policies or settings. I take extensive notes as I identify critical risks, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement. This process can take 3-4 weeks depending on the size and complexity of your domain.
Note: the security of your systems is my top priority. I enable 2-factor authentication for all of my accounts and am fully insured against cyber security threats.
Step 3: Audit Summary – Once my review is complete, I will summarize my findings in the form of a detailed written report that will outline and describe areas of risk and improvement. This report is color-coded for easy consumption and is linked to a variety of reports pulled directly from the admin console.
Step 4: Support – Now that the audit is complete, I provide an additional 3 months of support to help you implement my recommendations. I will meet with you virtually as many times as needed to help you improve your Google Workspace environment.
Pricing and Timing
Admin audits can be scheduled at any time of year and require 4-6 weeks to complete. Please note that I only schedule 2-3 audits per quarter to give my full attention to current customers.
Audit pricing varies based on the size and complexity of your district (average price is ~$3,000). All audits include three months of on-demand virtual support to help you implement my recommendations and assist with other Google admin challenges.
